We stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon. The hotel has lovely grounds, in the rustic Mediterranean style with grapevines and plants. The village is within a pleasant 5 minute stroll from the hotel, although it looks farther away than it is. The hotel has free parking and a computer with internet, which we appreciated greatly! St. Paul de Vence was a real treat. It is a walled city perched on the side of the mountains. It has narrow, cobblestone streets, fun shops and a great view of the alps and the Mediterrean. Opon enrty, I discovered the true reason this is the Villa St. Maxime, and that is that hotel is pure filth. There was an abundance of fecal matter in and about my room. Also, this room smelt of ferret urine, and a dead donkey's buttux. Thank you very much. more
