Having stayed at most of the 4star hotels in Cannes, this is definitely not one of the best. Although the bedroom and bathroom was excellent, with plenty of storage space and facilities, the hotel lacked so many of the amenities of a modern 4star hotel. Well, there IS something to be said for being beckoned into a random restaurant by a waiter! After about 24 hours of travel before finally arriving in Cannes, we were dog-tired, but determined to have a nice dinner in le Suquet. We had a great stay at the Martinez. Prime location on the Croisette. First class check-in experience. Even though we had a standard room, the "check-in lady" still escorted us up to our room and showed us around (light switches, safe, etc.) It's worth wandering around the halls of the hotel...the famous spiral staircase, the hallway leading down to the... more
