We where guests of friends of ours who booked a table at short notice, I wish they hadn't bothered. The food was badly cooked, poor quality , overpriced and pretentious. Wow! The hotel was warm and welcoming, and had a fantastic scottish feel to it. A perfect getaway in the highlands, not far from inverness. Great for sightseeing and activities, walking, biking, sailing. The food was lovely, lots of choice and the service was brilliant! If you want to discover the difference between an English and a Scotish Breakfast ( Size !! ) this is the place to stay. Dougie and Fiona are very welcoming hosts and the accomadation is warm and comfortable. Situated close to the town , River and Canal it is the ideal location for staying in Inverness. more
