Arrived after a 9 1/2 hour journey, hotel smelt very very musty and was clearly in need of some tlc. Room itself average at best, shower trickled and bathroom was tiny. Went down for dinner to be told the restaurant was closed due to a meeting and could we eat in bar, bar was scruffy and we had 3 items... more
The pictures don't really do it justice. It's just the best place in town with excellent rooms, fine linen, very good bathrooms and really great service. Other places in Thurso just don't bear comparison even the more expensive ones. Don't even think of staying somewhere else. more
