I visited the Craigmonie for 2 nights whilst in Inverness on business. I arrived late (after midnight) and the night duty staff were extremely friendly - which I found throughout my stay. I was a bit apprehensive about our booking to Caorunn as there wasn't a photo of the rooms on their website. I needn't of worried!! We had booked 2 rooms which were very cosy and clean. Cruachan Hotel is a little out of Fort William and all the better for it - ample car parking on the front. Not particularly welcoming - very disjointed staffing and no-one seemingly in charge. Breakfast staff very friendly and food good. Nice elevated patio area out the front of the hotel to enjoy a cool lager overlooking the loch. Rooms... more
