Got this hotel at a reasonable rate through Priceline, but then when we arrived, we were hit with a $20 "room upgrade fee" to get the room we had requested. Never had that problem with Priceline before. Then the manager took my credit card for a guarantee on "incidentals" and said there would be a $150 charge (refundable the next... more

I liked the decor, the food, the staff... What I really liked was the owners who dedicated their restaurant to Huskies and have 6 rescue dogs of their own! The decor is like some sort of Alaskan wilderness theme with nice booths, a fireplace and even a cool patio out the back. The menu has a good variety and is... more

This is the best sri lankan take out I have been to in Toronto. For those familiar with the food, you will find all the curries, hoppers, biriyanis, kottu rotis, etc.. along with baked goods and short eats. For those unfamiliar with this type of cuisine, don't be afraid. Not all of it is spicy. The food is made fresh... more

Great hotel. We came in a large group and it was the perfect place and extremely affordable. Its newly renovated and you can tell they spent a lot of money. It is on par with the new Holiday Inn Express hotels. There are widescreen LCD tvs in each room, free wireless, free parking, free breakfast and they have netbooks for... more

It's true what others have said about this being a hidden gem that not many in Toronto have even visited. Like the other guy said, take Brimley all the way south to the end. There you'll get great views of the bluffs from below. Keep walking westward and you'll get to the little bay where you get really close and... more

Recently spent 3 nights at this Holiday Inn Express. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels throughout North America and this location tops them all. Facility is great and the staff were amazing - very kind, courteous and most helpful. We will certainly visit this property again when we return to Greater Toronto. Daryl & Mary Ann Hayward... more

We stayed three nights at this hotel for Thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was in a great location for us. Our room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable....and new! The rain shower head in the shower area was especially enjoyable. We have stayed at a lot of hotels and never had that feature so it... more

We visit this restaurant at least three times a year! We value this restaurant for large variety of food, nice, simple setting, friendly customer service, discounts for kids and seniors.... and price. When we have guests coming from out of town with visit we often debate between "Mandarin" and "China Buffet King" , and very often "Buffet King" is a... more

The Toronto Zoo is easy to get to with ample parking. The exhibits are large and well done, (though this means sometimes the animals you most want to see are behind a tree on the very far side of their enclosure). Interesting arrangement according to geography helps the big picture, and includes some other very fascinating displays interactive displays, such... more

Ruby was placed on salmonella which caused someone to die. Have been there before and the washrooms were unkempt. The restaurant is dirty, and should not have been given a pass for people. more

I have stayed at this hotel in Scarborough several times when I travel to Toronto. It has great value and service. Includes a full breakfast and free parking. The recent renovation really brought out the best in terms of room decor and comfort and they didn't increase the room rate at all. more

Service is professional. We had Roast Chicken (half), Siu Mai with abalone slice, and Ha Gao. Good ingedients and taste fine. Three snack food for avg $25 each. Restaurant is pleasantly clean and embience victoria style (so non-chinese). Not your everyday dim sum restaurant. No price list on menu - a disappointment and unwise practice for a restaurant. Will I... more

Good: central position in city, microwave and fridge in room, room okay (nothing exceptional), a computer accessible to all guest with internet Not Good: China Town= loud, dirty, badly-smelling area, breakfast very provisorily (strange atmosphere (TV on, clinical room), paper plates(!)), staff did not really understand us, wireless did not really work, parking very expensive All in all: okay, but... more

This was a great hotel! We stayed for a hockey tournament. Right from check in the hotel and staff were terrific. The staff were accomodating and friendly. It isn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in but it was a clean, comfortable, cozy hotel and they treated us very well! They provided a hospitality suit for team meals. Breakfast was provided... more

Haven't been to the black dog in years. Honestly we only returned because we heard it was under new ownership. Wow what a change! The food was fantastic, and couldn't get over the huge portions. The staff is just amazing they were so friendly and accomodating to our party. We had a couple of people with food allergies and they... more
