Looking at the website, one might come to the conclusion that this is a state-of-the-art conference center in the middle of Alberta. Unfortunately, it is not. Good points: 1) Clean, clean, clean. 2) Room is large 3) Restaurant is a plus. 4) I haven't seen that kind of water pressure since the 1970's. The biggest, freshest lake in Alberta, some would say the only REAL lake you can drive to!!! The regional tourism group (Big Lake Country Tourism on the web) has links to most of the accommodations, operators and attractions. The area is largely undeveloped, so most people are amazed by the space and privacy you find, even at the very nicely... more

I live in this wonderful community of 7,000! We are bordered on all sides by beauty. Lesser Slave Lake is within walking/biking distance of the community.
