My husband and I took two motorized kayaks into Canada, (Mokai's,) to the Rideau Canal and launched them at Smiths Falls in early September 2009. Elegant comfort in excellent location.Fully staffed with helpful friendly people. Loved the inside connection to the mall and nearby was the By Ward Market where you can explore for hours. I have lived in Ottawa for 20 years and this is a wonderful spot. The Arboretum makes interesting woodlands along one side for picnics or trails, the boat rentals make a day out with the kids come to life (bring some snacks for the ducks), and the various restaurants are good year-round.
