I was rather looking forward to the trip to these ruins, and read a lot about them, but it was all to no use - all the frescoes etc. that articles talk about are not accessible to public, in fact, EVERY entrance to any structure is roped off, so there's not much to see, and guides end up telling tall... more

Such an amazing place to stay in Tulum! It is a bit basic for a "boutique" hotel but I think that if you go to Tulum, you should not expect 5 star, luxury resort hotels! When you first sit down you get a pleasant surprise as the owner joins you at the table to give you a personal run down of the daily menu. It is extremely personal and a nice touch. We then received a huge complimentary plate of hors d'œuvre which consist of focaccia, roasted vegetables, olives and bruschetta. My fish was excellent... more
