You have to go to La Parroquia when in Veracruz. It's famous for meetings by Mexican politicians and just as a meeting place for Mexican families. We saw the Mayor of Veracruz when we were there recently. It's a place with decades of history and significance, and has been featured in novels like, La Silla del Aguila by Carlos Fuentes. more

My family and I stayed for two nights during a Mexican long weekend so the hotel was 100% full.
