it was amazing finding a place with such a beautiful patio sorrounded by bambu and other tropical plants.....then the food just like mom used to make with lots of love and flavor....the "papafongo" (smashed potatoes in a unique way) was superb, the guaba/coconut sauce on the chicken strips was perfect, and the coffee was out of this world. I loved my trip to Ponce and the Melia Hotel. Being downtown is a great and convenent experience. I have stayed at chain hotels outside of the city but found them to be boring with not much to do. Staying in the city is a great, good food, museums, and wonderful walks. The staff is excellent. more
