I just returned from the Caribe Hilton, it is absolutely beautiful !! I highly recommend this hotel, it is very close to Old San Juan and the airport. We recently visited San Juan, Puerto Rico. We stayed four days, left for a seven day Carnival cruise and returned to stay another two days. Confusing yes, but we had a teriffic one bedroom apartment in Condado. We found the apartment online (VRBO.com, unit #159610).
