We went to the Riu Merengue for a week as got a really good deal. We weren't sure what to expect as although the hotel looked lovely we were told a few negatives about the DR from other people. FLIGHT & AIRPORT Flight on the way there was just over 9 hours flew with First Choice. Me & my boyfriend... more

this is a scam.please, don't listen to any hotel manager or a taxi driver, because they obviously get some pay out out of recommending this shack . we had 5 lobsters 1,5 Lb each, 4 stincky soups , 3 glasses of disgusting wine and 5 beers.the bill was $365.00. nobody could finish their lobsters(rubbery tasteless crap covered with some bland... more
