About Jetstar Asia - Singapore

Jetstar Airways is an Australian low-cost airline. Headquartered in Melbourne, Jetstar Airways also operates its main hub at Melbourne Airport. The airline commenced operations in 2004 and now provides service to more than 30destinations in Australia and overseas.

Jetstar Airways is part of the Jetstar Group, which includes Jetstar Airways, Jetstar Asia and Jetstar Pacific. Jetstar Airways in Australia and New Zealand is wholly-owned by the Qantas Group. Jetstar Asia, based in Singapore ismajority owned by Westbrook Investments with Qantas Group holding the remaining shares. Jetstar Pacific, based in Vietnam, is partially owned by Qantas.

Class of Service

Jetstar Airways provides two classes of service on select routes.

Business Class

Business Class is available on select flights to destinations such as Hawaii, Phuket, Tokyo, Osaka, Melbourne,Sydney, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Singapore, Auckland and Bali. Business Class passengers enjoy dedicated check-in,lounge access (unless flying on a Business Starter fare), priority boarding, amenity kits, in-seat power outlets, additional legroom, complimentary meal and beverage service and a video on demand system.


Passengers traveling in Economy can purchase a Plus or Max bundle, which includes free seat selection, food and beverage service on select flights and more flexible rules regarding ticketing changes. Alternatively, Economy passengers can purchase many options a la carte, such as lounge access, window seats, aisle seats, seats with extra legroom, food and beverages.

Food and Drink

Business Class passengers enjoy complimentary meal and beverage service, and they can choose a special Japanese menuon flights to and from Japan. Economy passengers can purchase snacks and drinks on domestic Australian flights andflights to and from New Zealand. On Jetstar Airways' international service, Economy passengers can pre-order meals or purchase meals onboard. Economy passengers purchasing Plus and Max bundles enjoy a hot meal on most international flights operated by Jetstar Airways.


Business Class passengers enjoy an entertainment system with audio and video on demand, featuring movies, TV programs, music videos and audio channels. Economy passengers on select flights can rent a Video on Demand unit to watch movies, TV programs and music videos. Audio channels are also available. It is recommended that Economy passengers rent the in-flight entertainment system in advance because they are subject to availability if rented onboard. In the Economy cabin of Jetstar's A330s, there will be several overhead screens providing shared video entertainment, including movies and TV programs. Jetstar Airways' newest A330s offer Economy passengers pay-per-view seatback entertainment.

In-Flight Technology

Business Class passengers have in-seat 110V AC power ports, which can be used to power laptops.

The Fleet

Jetstar Airways' fleet includes the following aircraft types*:

A320 and A321
Jetstar Airways operates more than 40 A320s and A321s, which can seat up to 180 and 220 passengers, respectively.
There are approximately 10 A330s in Jetstar Airways' fleet, which provide two classes of service and can seat up to 310 passengers.

Jetstar has codeshare agreements with several airlines, including the following:

Customer Loyalty Program

Passengers traveling on eligible Jetstar Airways flights can earn points and status credits towards the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

  • You can earn points by flying Jetstar Airways, Qantas, oneworld alliance airlines and other airline partners.
  • Points can also be accrued by purchasing products or services from more than 400 participating hotel, car and retail partners and by using a Qantas credit card.
  • Points can be redeemed for travel and other awards.
  • Points do not expire if you earn or redeem Qantas points at least once during an 18-month period.
  • Membership levels are Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One. These membership levels are attained by taking at least four eligible flights and obtaining 300, 700, 1,400 and 3,600 status points, respectively, in the twelve-month period commencing on the day of your membership.
    • Perks include an additional baggage allowance, priority on the waitlist and points bonuses. Gold, Platinum and Platinum One members also have lounge access.
    • Qantas Frequent Flyer Silver members receive oneworld Ruby status when traveling with oneworld partners.
    • Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold members are recognized as having oneworld Sapphire status when traveling with oneworld partners and have pre-flight access to the international Business Class and Frequent Flyer Lounges across the oneworld network except for Qantas Domestic Business Class Lounges.
    • Qantas Frequent Flyer Platinum and Platinum One members receive oneworld Emerald status when traveling withoneworld partners and have pre-flight access to the First Class, Business Class and Frequent Flyer Lounges acrossthe oneworld network.
  • You can buy and transfer points for a fee.
