About Air Tahiti Nui

Air Tahiti Nui is French Polynesia's flag carrier and is headquartered in Papeete, Tahiti. The airline commenced flight operations in 1998 and now provides service to Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Auckland and Sydney from its hub at Faa’a International Airport in Tahiti.

The government of French Polynesia is the major shareholder of Air Tahiti Nui along with Tahitian private investors.Air Tahiti Nui names its aircraft after French Polynesian islands, including Bora Bora and Mangareva. Poerava, the name of Air Tahiti Nui's Business Class products, means "black pearl" in Tahitian.

Class of Service

Air Tahiti Nui provides up to three classes of service on its flights.

Poerava Business Class

Poerava Business Class passengers enjoy seats that recline to 154 degrees, a two-by-two-by-two configuration, complimentary meal and beverage service and in-seat entertainment.

Moana Class

Passengers traveling in Moana Class enjoy complimentary meal and beverage service and in-seat entertainment. Moana Class is configured in a two-by-four-by-two layout.

Food and Drink

Complimentary meal and beverage service is provided on all flights to all passengers. Air Tahiti Nui's cuisine blends French and Polynesian culinary influences with specialties from each of its destinations.

Entertainment

Individual entertainment is available at all seats, featuring up to six first-run movies, eight music channels and games. Passengers traveling in Poerava First Class enjoy entertainment on 12-inch video screens.

In-Flight Technology

Passengers traveling in Poerava First Class and Poerava Business Class have EmPower ports at their seats, which require an adapter to plug in a laptop. Passengers traveling in Poerava First Class also enjoy in-flight telephone service for a fee.

Club Tiare is the frequent flyer loyalty program of Air Tahiti Nui.

  • You can earn miles by flying Air Tahiti Nui or its airline partners.
  • Passangers can also gain miles on Air Tahiti Nui for Delta Skymiles.
  • Miles can also be accrued by purchasing products or services from partners and by using an affiliated credit card.
  • Miles can be redeemed for travel awards. American Airlines AAdvantage miles and Delta SkyMiles can also be redeemed on Air Tahiti Nui.
  • If, for a period of three years, no accrual activity occurs either by flying Air Tahiti Nui or by making purchases using a co-branded card, Air Tahiti Nui will reset the account and close it three months later.
  • Membership levels are Club Tiare Tahia, Silver and Gold. Tahia is the entry level for all Club Tiare members.Silver membership is attained by accumulating 30,000 qualifying miles in travel on Air Tahiti Nui during a calendar year. Gold membership is attained by accumulating 60,000 qualifying miles in travel on Air Tahiti Nui during a calendar year.
    • Silver and Gold members enjoy bonus mileage, priority baggage and choice of seats, subject to availability.Gold members also receive lounge access.
