Sun Country Airlines is an American, low-cost airline that provides scheduled and charter service primarily to destinations in the U.S., the Caribbean and Central America. Founded in 1982 by a group of pilots and flights attendants from the former Braniff International Airways, Sun Country is headquartered outside of Minneapolis in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Sun Country operates its hubs and focus cities at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Lansing Capital Region International Airport and Cancun International Airport.

Class of Service

Sun Country provides two classes of service on its flights.

First Class

Passengers traveling in First Class enjoy priority check in, fast track through security where available, priority boarding, a checked bag allowance, complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverage service and complimentary use of a personal entertainment device on flights over 3 hours.

Economy Class

Economy Class passengers enjoy complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverage service on Sun Country's flights.

Food and Drink

Complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverage service is provided on Sun Country's scheduled flights. Full meal service is available to First Class passengers on flights departing before 8 p.m., and snack selections are available on later flights. Additional sandwiches, snacks and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

Entertainment

On select flights over 3 hours long, passengers may rent personal entertainment devices called digEplayers, which feature movies, TV shows, cartoons and music. First Class passengers are provided digEplayers on a complimentary basis. Passengers also enjoy in-flight audio channels, featuring local Minnesota musicians.

Sun Country's 737s can seat between 126 and 174 passengers. Sun Country's aircraft may be flown in a two-class configuration, with a two-by-two configuration in First Class and a three-by-three configuration in Economy Class,or in an all Economy-Class configuration.
