About Royal Jordanian

Royal Jordanian Airlines was established in 1963, and it is the national airline of Jordan. Headquartered in Amman, Royal Jordanian operates its hubs and focus cities at Queen Alia International Airport near Amman and Aqaba Airport. Royal Jordanian serves approximately 60 destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia and North America.

Class of Service

Royal Jordanian offers two classes of service on its flights:

Crown Class

Passengers traveling in Crown Class enjoy priority check-in, lounge access, personal video screens and complimentary meal and beverage service. Crown Class passengers also enjoy angled lie-flat seats on Royal Jordanian's A340s and in-seat USB ports on select aircraft.

Economy Class

Economy Class passengers receive complimentary beverage service and, depending on the length of the flight, either meal or snack service. Passengers enjoy personal video screens or shared video entertainment on overhead screens on select aircraft.

Food and Drink

Crown Class passengers enjoy a complimentary four-course meal with a choice of champagne, wine, beer and other beverages. Economy Class passengers enjoy complimentary meal and beverage service on medium- and long-haul flights and snacks on shorter flights.

Entertainment

Entertainment systems with audio and video on demand, featuring movies, television programing, games and kids programming, are available on select aircraft. On other Royal Jordanian aircraft, overhead screens provide video entertainment. Crown Class passengers on flights that do not have an AVOD system will be provided with a personal video system that is pre-loaded with up to 10 movies. Royal Jordanian also offers eight audio channels on its flights.

In-Flight Technology

In-seat USB ports are available in Crown Class on select aircraft.

A310
Royal Jordanian's approximately four A310s provide service on medium- and long-haul routes and offer two classes of service.
A319, A320 and A321
Royal Jordanian has more than ten A319s, A320s and A321s, which are operated in a two-class configuration.
A330
There are approximately three A330s in Royal Jordanian's fleet which provide service to Europe and Asia, and can seat up to 283 passengers in a two-class configuration.
A340
Royal Jordanian operates approximately four A340s on long-haul flights, and the aircraft can seat up to 254 passengers in a two-class configuration.
E175
There are approximately three E175s in Royal Jordanian's fleet, and they can seat up to 72 passengers in a two-class configuration.
E195
Royal Jordanian's approximately five E195s can seat up to 100 passengers and provide two classes of service.

Customer Loyalty Program

Royal Plus is Royal Jordanian's frequent flyer loyalty program.

  • You can earn miles by flying Royal Jordanian and oneworld alliance airlines.
  • Miles can also be accrued by purchasing products or services from participating retail partners and by using an affiliated credit card.
  • Miles can be redeemed for travel awards.
  • Miles expire 30 months after being credited to your account.
  • Membership levels are Blue Plus, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Blue Plus is the entry level for all Royal Plus members. Silver, Gold and Platinum membership levels are attained by flying 15,000, 35,000 and 55,000 tier miles or 14, 28 and 42 segments, respectively, on qualifying flights in a period of 12 months. At least four segments must be flown on Royal Jordanian to qualify for Silver membership, and at least eight segments and 12 segments must be flown on Royal Jordanian to qualify for Gold and Platinum membership, respectively.
    • Perks for Silver, Gold and Platinum members include bonus mileage, an extra baggage allowance and priority on the waitlist. Gold and Platinum members also receive lounge access and upgrade privileges.
    • Silver members receive oneworld Ruby status when traveling with oneworld partners.
    • Gold members are recognized as having oneworld Sapphire status when traveling with oneworld partners and have access to the Business Class and Frequent Flyer Lounges across the oneworld network.
    • Platinum members receive oneworld Emerald status when traveling with oneworld partners and have access to the First Class, Business Class and Frequent Flyer Lounges across the oneworld network.
