About LOT

LOT Polish Airlines is based in Warsaw and is the flag carrier of Poland. LOT began operations in 1939 and now flies to destinations in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. It operates its hubs and focus cities at Warsaw Chopin Airport, Copernicus Airport Wrocław, Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, John Paul II International Airport Kraków-Balice, Katowice International Airport, Poznań-Ławica Airport and Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport. LOT is majority-owned by the Polish state.

Class of Service

LOT generally provides two classes of service on its flights.

Business Class

Business Class passengers enjoy lounge access, complimentary meal and beverage service, video entertainment on select aircraft, power ports on select aircraft and an additional baggage allowance. Passengers traveling on LOT's B767s enjoy angled lie-flat seats.

Economy Class

Passengers traveling in Economy Class enjoy complimentary meal and beverage service, as well as power ports and shared video entertainment on select flights.

Food and Drink

Complimentary beverage and either snack or meal service is provided to all passengers. The menu varies depending on the time of day and the duration of the flight. On flights to Hanoi, meal service includes Vietnamese cuisine.


Video entertainment, including movies and children's programming, is available on overhead screens on select aircraft. In addition, passengers can enjoy 10 audio channels on select aircraft.

In-Flight Technology

Power ports are available in Business Class on LOT's B767s and in select rows of its Embraer 175s.

There are approximately 3 E195s in LOT's fleet, and they can seat up to 112 passengers in a two-class configuration.

Customer Loyalty Program

Miles & More is LOT's frequent flyer loyalty program, and it is also the frequent flyer loyalty program of Lufthansa, SWISS and several other European airlines.

  • You can earn award miles by flying LOT, Lufthansa and other airline partners.
  • Miles can also be accrued by purchasing products or services from numerous participating hotel, car and retail partners and by using a Miles & More credit card.
  • Miles can be redeemed for travel and other awards.
  • Award miles not redeemed within 36 months after their accrual date will expire at the end of that quarter. Miles earned by members who have Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle status, however, do not expire. If you fail to re-qualify for Frequent Traveller status, miles will be valid for 36 months from the date status is lost and then expire at the end of that quarter.
  • Membership levels are Miles & More Member, Frequent Traveler, Senator and HON Circle Member. Miles & More Member is the entry level for all participants in the Miles & More program.
    • Frequent Traveller status is attained by flying 35,000 status miles in a calendar year.
    • Senator status is obtained by flying 100,000 (130,000 for German residents) status miles in a calendar year.
    • HON Circle Member status is attained by flying 600,000 HON Circle miles spread over two consecutive calendar years. HON Circle miles are obtained by traveling with LOT, certain airline partners and certain rail partners.
  • HON Circle is an extremely prestigious membership level with very personalized service for its members, including personal assistance at Frankfurt and other Lufthansa intercontinental stations worldwide.
    • Perks for Frequent Traveller, Senator and HON Circle Members include priority on the waitlist, bonus mileage accrual and lounge access that varies by membership level.
