Kenya Airways is the flag carrier and largest airline of Kenya. Established in 1977, Kenya Airways is headquartered in Nairobi. The airline operates its hubs and focus cities at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and Moi International Airport in Mombasa. Class of Service

Kenya Airways provides two classes of service on its flights.

Premier World

Passengers traveling in Premier World enjoy lounge access, entertainment systems with audio and video on demand, in-seat power ports, fully lie-flat seats on B767-300 and B777-200ER aircraft and complimentary meal and beverage service.


Passengers traveling in Economy enjoy complimentary meal and beverage service on international flights. In addition, passengers on select flights enjoy seat-back entertainment or shared video entertainment on overhead screens.

Food and Drink

Complimentary meal and beverage service is offered in all classes on international flights.


On Kenya Airways' B777s, Premier World passengers enjoy audio and video on demand, while Economy passengers enjoy Near Video on Demand and 12 music channels. Passengers on long-haul B767s enjoy personal televisions with 11 movie channels and eight audio channels. Shared video entertainment on overhead screens and eight audio channels are available on Kenya Airways' B737-700s, B737-800s and short-haul B767s, while in-seat touch screens are available on its E190s.

In-Flight Technology

AC power ports are available in Premier World on select Kenya Airways' flights.

There are approximately fifteen 737s in Kenya Airways' fleet.
Kenya Airways operates more than five 767s, which can seat up to 216 passengers.
There are approximately four 777s in Kenya Airways' fleet, and they can seat up to 322 passengers.
E170 LR and E190 AR
Kenya Airways has approximately ten E170s and E190s in its fleet, and they can seat up to 72 and 96 passengers, respectively.

Customer Loyalty Program

Flying Blue is Kenya Airways' frequent flyer loyalty program, and it is also the frequent flyer loyalty program of KLM, Air France, Air Europa, Aircalin and Tarom.

  • You can earn award miles by flying Air France, KLM, other SkyTeam partners and other airline partners.
  • Award miles can also be earned by purchasing products or services from numerous participating hotel, car and retail partners.
  • Miles can be redeemed for travel and other awards.
  • Miles do not expire if you fly Kenya Airways, Air France, KLM, SkyTeam partners or certain other airline partners at least once during a 20-month period.
  • Membership levels are Ivory, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Ivory is the entry level for all Flying Blue members. Silver, Gold and Platinum membership levels are attained by flying 25,000, 40,000 and 70,000 miles or 15, 30 and 60 segments, respectively, on qualifying flights in one calendar year. French and Monegasque residents have higher mileage requirements to achieve Silver, Gold and Platinum status: 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000 miles, respectively, on qualifying flights in one calendar year.
    • Perks for Silver, Gold and Platinum members include mileage bonuses, lounge access and priority seating.
    • Silver members are recognized at the SkyTeam Elite level when flying on SkyTeam partner airlines.
    • Gold and Platinum members are given SkyTeam Elite Plus status when flying on SkyTeam partners and have access to SkyTeam lounges when traveling on SkyTeam international itineraries.
