Air Seychelles is the national airlines of Seychelles. Founded in the late 1970s, Air Seychelles is in the process of repositioning itself as a regional airline. Air Seychelles has its headquarters and operates its hub at the Seychelles International Airport on the island of Mahé, Seychelles.
In January 2012, Etihad Airways announced that it planned to purchase a 40% stake in Air Seychelles.
Air Seychelles offers two classes of service on its international flights:
Passengers traveling in Pearl Class enjoy dedicated check-in counters, lounge access, amenity kits, complimentary meal and beverage service and complimentary use of a handheld entertainment system with a large selection of movies.Passengers also enjoy angled lie-flat seats on Air Seychelles' B767-300ERs, which operate on European routes.
Economy Class passengers receive complimentary meal and beverage service on long haul flights and complimentary beverage service on shorter flights. Passengers also enjoy shared video entertainment on overhead screens.
Complimentary meal and beverage service is provided to Pearl Class passengers on all flights and to Economy Class passengers on long haul flights.
Pearl Class passengers are provided with complimentary use of handheld entertainment systems with a large selection of movies. Economy Class passengers enjoy video entertainment on overhead screens. Additionally, there are 8 audio channels for passengers' enjoyment.
Pearl Class passengers on Air Seychelles B767-300ERs have in-seat 110V AC power outlets.
