Gulf Air is a flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain and is headquartered in Muharraq. Gulf Air began service in 1950 as Gulf Aviation Company, and today it is fully owned by the Kingdom of Bahrain. Gulf Air operates its hub at Bahrain International Airport and provides service to over 40 destinations worldwide.
Gulf Air offers two classes of service on its flights.
Passengers traveling in Falcon Gold enjoy priority check-in, lounge access, meal and beverage service and amenity kits. Gulf Air is in the process of upgrading its Falcon Gold with new flatbeds on routes longer than four and a half hours. During the transition period, customers traveling on a fully flexible Falcon Gold ticket will be given priority for the sleeper seats in the front of the aircraft.
Economy Class passengers enjoy complimentary meal and beverage service, as well as in-seat entertainment on select aircraft. Passengers with children can also take advantage of Gulf Air's Sky Nanny service when traveling onwide-body aircraft. Sky Nannies offer help during boarding and disembarkation, as well as onboard.
All passengers enjoy complimentary meal and beverage service. Falcon Gold passengers traveling on long haul flights enjoy personal attention from Gulf Air's in-flight Sky Chef, who will discuss menu options and make recommendations for an accompanying beverage.
In-seat video screens, featuring movies and television shows, are available on many Gulf Air aircraft. Select A330s feature a comprehensive communications and entertainment system called Skyhub, which offers passengers live television services, as well as broadband connectivity.
A wide variety of audio entertainment is also available on Gulf Air's aircraft.
Passengers traveling on select A330s enjoy Skyhub, which provides broadband connectivity so passengers can accessemail, text messages, the internet and phone calls using VOIP. Wi-fi services are accessed via Deutsche Telekom. In addition, customers are able to use their mobile phones in the air provided that they are GSM-capable.
Passengers traveling in Falcon Gold on select aircraft enjoy in-seat 110V AC power outlets.
