Allegiant Air is an American, low-cost airline that provides all-jet service from numerous small cities in the U.S. to Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando and other leisure destinations. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Las Vegas, Allegiant Air operates its hubs and focus cities at Bellingham International Airport, Charlotte County Airport (Punta Gorda), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Gerald R. Ford International Airport (Grand Rapids), Los Angeles International Airport, McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas), Myrtle Beach International Airport, Orlando Sanford International Airport, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. Allegiant Air focuses much of its schedule on bringing passengers from colder northern climates to warmer destinations in the southern United States.
