About Direct Air

Direct Air, formerly known as Myrtle Beach Direct Air, is an indirect air carrier that provides public charter flights between cities in the eastern United States from its hub in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Direct Air, which is also headquartered in Myrtle Beach, began providing charter flights in 2007. The operators of Direct Air's flights include XTRA Airways and Sky King.

Direct Air ceased all operations on March 13, 2012.

Class of Service

Direct Air provides two classes of service on some of its flights.

First Class

First Class seats can be purchased for a fee. First Class seats are larger and provide extra legroom.

Coach Class

Coach Class passengers can choose their seats in advance for a fee.

Food and Drink

Snacks and beverages are available for purchase on Direct Air flights.

MD 88
Direct Air's MD 88s can seat up to 139 passengers in a two-class configuration.
737-400 and -800
Direct Air's 737s are configured with First Class and Coach Class, or they may have a single-class, all-Coach configuration.
