Air China is the national flag carrier of China and provides service to over 135 cities in nearly 30 countries. Formed in 1988, it operates hubs at three Chinese airports: Beijing Capital International Airport, Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, and Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
Air China provides two or three classes of service depending on the flight.
Depending on the aircraft, First Class passengers may enjoy fully lie-flat seats, angled lie-flat seats, or recliner seats.
Business Class passengers enjoy fully lie-flat seats on Airbus A340-300s, and either angled lie-flat seats or reclining seats on other aircraft. Air China has announced that it will also reconfigure its Business Class on its Airbus A330s to add fully lie-flat seats.
Premium Economy Class, which provides additional legroom, is available on A330-300s flying select routes within China and from Beijing to London and Düsseldorf.
Passengers traveling in Economy Class enjoy complimentary meal service on medium- and long-haul flights.
Complimentary meal service is offered on international flights and domestic flights of longer duration. Various special meals may be requested in advance.
A seatback entertainment system with audio and video on-demand is available in First Class and Business Class on Air China's Boeing 777s and Airbus A340s and at every seat on its Airbus A330s. Other aircraft have audio entertainment in Chinese and English and video programming on shared overheard monitors.
First Class and Business Class seats on Air China's B777s, B767s, A340s and A330s have 110V AC power outlets. Wireless internet is available on B777s.
